People Development in Broadcasting

29th July, 2010

Welcome to the People Development in Broadcasting Site

The only UK site for the Learning & Development, Human Resources and Equal Opportunity professional in the Broadcast Industry.

Both learning & development and equality of opportunity have been hot topics of discussion in our industry this year. L&D because of constraints on budgets and potential budget cuts as well as the issues of shedding labour. For EO the issues of shedding labour and the debate on diversity in the broadcast industry has been much in the news.

The purpose of this site is to provide a focal point for anybody who wishes to look up or reference HR and L&D related resources within the broadcast industry. This site is part of the effort by the BETR to encourage debate on issues of training and skills and equal opportunities in the broadcast industry. We hope that this site will give you access to expertise from within and outside the sector and help us all raise our game and build a skilled and diverse workforce. But this is a site for the industry and with your help will be developed as a useful support tool and focal point for the industry, so let us know what you want and contact us on info@betr.co.uk to tell us what would be useful and helpful to add.

In addition there are several places in where you can take part in the dialogue on issues that might concern any one of us in the industry. For example; why not have a look at the Social Learning Group as part of the Learning & Skills Group facilitated by Jane Hart.

Or help us structure the format and approach to the Learning & Development and Broadcasting Conference this October by joining the debate on LinkedIn.
